Quebec Seniors Tax Credit (TPZ-1029.MD.5)
This page documents the Quebec Seniors Tax Credit feature, which allows building administrators to generate TPZ-1029.MD.5 forms for eligible co-owners. This is a Quebec provincial tax credit for seniors living in condominiums, covering eligible housekeeping and minor maintenance expenses.
Workflow
- Reset / Initialize data: Click Reset data to auto-generate the tax document data from the building’s records (units, owners, addresses, vote shares). This overwrites any previous manual changes and requires confirmation.
- Assign expense categories to service lines: Open the Categories by Service Line card. For each service line on the official form (lines 11–13 for housekeeping, lines 21–30 for minor maintenance), assign the accounting categories that contain eligible expenses. Categories can only be assigned to one line at a time.
- Mark eligible owners: Open the Eligible Owners card and check the Eligible checkbox for each owner who qualifies. You can also edit their address, vote share, and share of expenses.
- Calculate amounts: Click Calculate amounts in the header.
- Review and edit: Toggle editing mode to adjust any values (building totals, person details, syndicate info, signature). Save your changes.
- Generate and distribute forms: Use the Generate PDF Forms dropdown to: generate a single combined PDF with all owners’ forms, generate a ZIP archive with one PDF per owner or send forms directly by email to each owner.
