We experienced the frustrations of building management firsthand. So we built the platform we always wished existed.
In 2021, we found ourselves on the board of directors of a nearly 200-unit, self-managed, building in Montreal. For a year, we managed that building with the existing tools. We experienced firsthand all the problems that building managers face: invoice processing, check collection, community communication, chasing co-owners who are late on payments, tracking maintenance work, organizing assemblies, and more. We even had to deal with a massive flood affecting a dozen units.
Before this experience, we had been entrepreneurs for nearly 30 years. We had previously founded companies that developed consumer applications and specialized software powered by Artificial Intelligence. You may know MagicPlan, an application we created that has over 20 million users.
At the end of our experience as building administrators, we decided to develop a modern solution to simplify condo building management. We knew we could do much better than what was available on the market, especially by leveraging the latest advances in AI.
